When we first created Triberr, you were only allowed to join 1 tribe. Can you believe that?
If you were a part of a tribe, you could create a new tribe, and invite others who weren't yet on Triberr, but you couldn't invite existing Triberr members who belonged to another tribe.
A few months into it, members started to request the ability to join multiple tribes. We built the functionality, but it created a problem...
What if there was overlap in my tribes? Meaning I'm in 2 or more tribes with the same people? Would their posts show up in my Tribal Stream multiple times, once for each tribe?
Clearly multiple copies of someone's post in the Tribal Stream isn't helpful. You're only going to want to share the post once, even if you're in multiple tribes with someone. So when that happens, the system chooses only 1 of the shared tribes to send the post through.
This means that if you sort the Tribal Stream by tribes, you may not see a tribemates post, even if they are in the tribe, because the post might have been scheduled through a different tribe.
Will my approvals show for all tribes?
In the past, if you shared multiple tribes with a tribemate, and their post only shows up as being sent through 1 of your tribes, approving that post would only show up as a tribe approval for the tribe the post came through.
This resulted in people appearing inactive in a tribe, even though they were approving posts from tribemates, because those posts were being scheduled through a different tribe they shared.
This has been fixed, and now if you approve a post from a tribe, that will show as a tribe approval for all tribes you share with that tribemate.
